Sportradar expands its partnership with Polymarket
Alongside its financial results, Sportradar confirmed an expanded partnership with Polymarket, a prediction-market platform where users trade contracts based on the outcomes of future events.
The agreement covers data services for more than 20 sports leagues and competitions, including Germany's Bundesliga and EuroLeague Basketball.
For prediction markets, access to reliable sports data is essential. Accurate event information supports contract settlement, market integrity and the delivery of real-time information to users.
The partnership also demonstrates how established sports betting technology companies are entering an industry traditionally associated with financial trading platforms.
However, Sportradar did not disclose how much of its quarterly revenue came specifically from prediction-market services. Its 24% overall revenue growth should therefore not be attributed entirely to Polymarket.
Why prediction markets matter for 2027
Sportradar's results suggest that prediction markets are becoming an increasingly important commercial opportunity for established sports technology suppliers.
Its Betting Technology & Solutions division generated approximately €297 million, up 27%, supported partly by the integration of IMG ARENA's sports rights and growing demand from prediction-market participants.
The company's US revenue also rose 47%, with management identifying prediction-market expansion as one contributor.
However, the regulatory position remains uncertain. In the United States, disputes continue over whether certain sports event contracts fall under federal derivatives oversight or state gambling laws.
For mobile betting and casino technology companies, the development highlights a potential new distribution channel for sports data, real-time statistics and integrity monitoring.
What comes next?
Sportradar reiterated its 2026 revenue outlook of €1.518 billion to €1.533 billion and expects adjusted EBITDA of €360 million to €368 million.
The company's expanded relationships with prediction-market exchanges, brokers and market makers indicate that it intends to serve multiple parts of the emerging sector rather than rely on a single platform.
The important trend is the convergence of sports betting technology and prediction markets. As these platforms expand, reliable data, transparent settlement systems and regulatory compliance will become increasingly important.
